Spring in the hollows

Down in the damp hollows of disused railway tracks, where trees have quietly colonised the banks over 50 years of neglect, the pussy willows are in fragile blossom.
Spring has arrived.

I read an article in the news yesterday about pussy willows…. there’s a shortage in the eastern USA because of the long cold snowy winter. They celebrate “Dyngus Days” it’s origins go back hundreds of years in Poland. Your photos are lovely.
